Issues with PEEK-A-NEWZ Prizes

We are aware that some people have found Wacky 5 times and still haven’t gotten their prize. If this has happened to you please follow these steps:

1. Clear your cache.

2. Disable your pop-up blocker. There are important PEEK-A-NEWZ pop-ups with activity information. It is likely that you have missed the pop-up that will award your prize.

3. Refresh your browser to Webkinz Newz and re-login to PEEK-A-NEWZ.

If you have found Wacky 5 times, the prize awarding pop-up screen should display itself. Otherwise, the pop-up screen telling you to search some more will be displayed.

KinzStyle Outlet Recipe Clothing

We hope you’ve been enjoying the Clothing Machine at the KinzStyle Outlet! As you may have already discovered, most combinations will create “Patchwork” clothing — there’s a pair of Patchwork Pants, a Patchwork Shirt and a Patchwork Hat. Any time you add three clothes that don’t make a “secret” recipe, you’ll end up with a piece of Patchwork clothing.

So what are the Secret Recipes? Glad you asked! You can make all of the following items in the Clothing Machine using clothing purchased from the KinzStyle Outlet — many of the recipes have already been discovered!

Where did all the W Shop clothing go?
If you remember, the Clothing in the W Shop was all lumped into one category.This made it very difficult to browse for something in particular. The KinzStyle Outlet organizes all of the clothing into separate categories — if you’re just looking for a new pair of shoes, that’s much easier to do now!

I still can’t find some of the old W Shop clothing – what happened?
A few items were retired when we moved the clothing to the KinzStyle Outlet. Two items can now be found in the Curio Shop, but the others won’t be back.

What’s the Clearance section for?
Check the Clearance category to see if any clothing items are on sale.

Hey! Why are there different prices for the Special item?
The “Special” price only applies if you click on the item in front of PJ. If you go to the category to find the same item, it’ll be at regular price. Be sure to pick up the special directly from PJ for the best price!

Why can’t I put my clothing in the Clothing Machine?
The Clothing Machine will only take your common clothes (stuff from the Outlet Shop, or clothing you get on vacation) — special clothing like holiday items or KinzStyle clothing can’t be used with the Clothing Machine.

Doug the Dog Q&A

Lots of our members are enjoying helping out Doug the Dog in the Clubhouse but many have asked for more details about how it all works. Here are five of the most common questions you may have.

Where do I find Doug?

You can find Doug in the Collector Room in the Clubhouse, for an hour a day in each color zone. Doug could show up at any time!

What do I do when I find Doug?

Each day, Doug will have a quest for you. When you find him, click on him! He will tell you that he is looking for one or more common, uncommon, or rare gems – but he won’t say which ones exactly yet. You have to choose whether you accept the quest or not.

What happens when I accept a quest?

If you accept the quest, Doug will tell you exactly which gem(s) he wants. If you have all of these gems, he will give you a prize, and you move to the next level. If you don’t have the right gem(s), Doug will let you know that you haven’t succeeded at the quest.

What happens when I don’t succeed?

If you don’t succeed for two quests in a row, you move back down one level. You will then have to complete this level again, and Doug will give you KinzCash instead of the prize you got last time.

How many prizes are there?

Doug has 20 prizes in total. If you successfully win all 20, you get to start again from the first level, and you can win one more of each prize.

These forms help us address issues more quickly, as we can collect all the information that we need. If you have an issue, please take a moment to review the options available before using the “Our Question Does Not Appear Above” form – using the appropriate form will result in faster service.

What is Recess?

Recess is a fun way to reward your Webkinz pets after spending some quality time at the Kinzville Academy! There are four games, each with a different set of prizes to win. When you finish Recess, you’ll receive a special bagged lunch!

How do I get Recess?

You earn Recess after 15 full days at the Kinzville Academy. A full day means that at least three classes have been attempted in a day. It does not have to be 15 consecutive days — we’ll keep count of each full day, and Recess will automatically be available when you get to 15. Don’t worry if you don’t pass the class — it still counts when you try!

How long is Recess available?

Recess is over when you finish the last game, but you’ll keep earning new Recesses every 15 full days of class. You can only have one Recess at a time, though, so you’ll miss out on any of the unfinished activities and the bagged lunch if you don’t finish your current Recess before earning a new one.

My Profile Q&A

What is it?

My Profile is a quick view of your My Page – it shows your favorite Pet, your pet’s birthday, your status, your mood, your tagline, a room widget and a favorite widget. Also, you can show how long you’ve been a member and the number of pets you have. My Profile is a quick way to share some basic information with people you meet in the Clubhouse or have on your friends list.

How do I edit My Profile?

Click on the THINGS TO DO menu and select “Me and My Pets” — you’ll see a new tab that says “My Profile.” Click on that, and then click the “Edit Profile” button. Now you can change or hide your widgets. Some of the widgets are linked to ones on My Page – hold your mouse over the widget and a tooltip will appear to let you know if you’re changing one of these linked widgets.

How do I view my friends’ and other people’s profiles?

	You can look at any of your friends’ profiles by clicking on the face next to their name in the KinzChat cellphone.
	If you’re in the Clubhouse, click on the face next the names listed in the “Webkinz In Room” window.
